Volunteer Spotlight: Rescuer Jim Phillips
Jim Phillips is shown below releasing an anhinga on Marcott Circle in Sarasota on September 1st, 2010. Two weeks ago when Jim rescued this bird from the same location, it had fibrous material wrapped around its beak and could not eat. Jim has rescued 11 birds since July of this year. He lives in Central Sarasota but has shown a willingness to travel anywhere to make a rescue. His dedication to the birds is commendable.
